Windows Live Writer

Finally there's Windows Live Writer, the excellent blogging tool that Microsoft have provided for a few years now. This version adopts the ribbon and does away with the sidebar, but not too much else has been added. There is now support for emoticons and the new Photo Albums that store all the images on SkyDrive, but not too much else has been added. Sadly there is no support for any new blogging platform, which will upset those who use Tumblr and other blogging or content management platforms that aren't currently supported, although the major platforms such are Wordpress, Blogger and TypePad are supported very well.
